Privacy Policy
This policy explains what CUR8 Software LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use CR8, why we collect it, and who else touches it. It covers the CR8 iOS app and this website.
The short version. We collect the minimum needed to build your daily feed and bill you. We run no analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind. We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
Account information
- Your email address.
- A cryptographic hash of your password. We never store, and cannot recover, your actual password.
- Your subscription plan, trial end date, and subscription status.
- Account creation date and the date you last opened the app.
Your preferences
- The YouTube creators you follow, the order you rank them in, and which you mark as must-haves.
- Whether you want videos, Shorts, or both from each creator.
- How many items you want in your daily CR8, your time zone, and your daily generation time.
- Whether the email digest is on, and what time you want it.
How you use CR8
So that your daily feed does not repeat itself and can adapt to what you actually watch, we record, per item: whether it was shown, whether you opened it, whether you pinned it, when you saw it, and whether you came from the app or from the email digest. We also record which creator suggestions we have shown you and whether you accepted or dismissed them.
Email delivery records
We record that a digest was sent to you and which items it contained, so we do not send duplicates and can diagnose delivery problems.
What we do not collect
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The app contains none.
- No advertising identifiers, ad networks, or ad tracking.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No location data, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
- No payment card details. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your card number.
How we use it
- To build and deliver your daily CR8.
- To send your email digest, if you have it enabled.
- To operate your subscription and free trial.
- To respond when you contact support.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not use your data to train machine learning models, and we do not sell it.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers. Each receives only what it needs:

YouTube and Google
CR8 uses the YouTube API Services to look up creators and their recent uploads. By using CR8 you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Videos play inside the official YouTube embedded player. When you watch, YouTube and Google receive data directly from your device — including your IP address and playback activity — and handle it under the Google Privacy Policy. That exchange is between you and Google; we neither control nor receive it.
You can review and revoke CR8's access to your data through the Google security settings page.
How long we keep it
- Your per-item viewing history is retained for 90 days.
- Account details and preferences are kept while your account is open.
- When you delete your account, your account record and everything linked to it — creators, viewing history, suggestions, and email records — are deleted.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: Settings → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent. If you cannot access the app, email support@cur8software.com from your account address and we will do it for you.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — subscriptions are managed by Apple. Cancel in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
Your choices
- Turn the email digest off in the app, or use the unsubscribe link in any digest.
- Change or remove your creators at any time.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us.
- Delete everything, as above.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Your login token is held in the iOS secure keychain. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small.
Children
CR8 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Where we operate
CR8 is offered in the United States, and data is processed there. We do not currently offer the service in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above, and for significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email.
